Phyl Coe

(3.8 estrellas; 8 reseñas)

The Phyl Coe Mysteries was a syndicated radio series that debuted in 1936, featuring the lead character designed to reflect the sponsor, Philco Radio Tubes. Phyl, short for Phyllis, is portrayed as the "beautiful girl detective"—a smart, aggressive, and take-charge private investigator.

In one thrilling episode, Phyl leaps onto the stage when a magician is shot, barking orders to theatre personnel and solving the crime before the police arrive. Throughout the series, she tackles various mysteries, including identifying a thief of a famous painting, unraveling a plot involving a new death-ray gun, and solving a murder aboard an aeroplane.

There will be disappointment

If you cannot figure out the clues given to you during the program. Some of these are simple, but the problem is there is no way to verify what you think, because the show is more than 80 years old and probably no one has the workbooks anymore. Theme Music

(3 estrellas)

The theme music for this show (at least for the "Double X Mystery") is basically the same as the 1932 radio series "Police Headquarters", but much shorter. In the "Police Headquarters" series, a 15 minute series, the theme music lasted about 3 minutes of the entire show.
