POWER and THE BOOK OF ACTS There have been more books written concerning church growth and health in the last 25 years than at any other time in history and yet, despite that, there seems to be a major disconnect between most North American churches and the early church of the first century. This in-depth series of messages from the Book of Acts will examine how the church of the 21st century lines up with that of the first century and will take us back to what Christ envisioned the church to be when He sent out the original disciples. We will discover this major concept: it is only with the empowering of the Holy Spirit that the church will be able to fulfill the mandate that Christ gave us 2000+ years ago. Without this key ingredient, we are destined to falter and fail. Although the early church was not perfect, they knew this: Spirit work needs Spirit power.
