The Footstompin' Old World Revival March 2014

The Footstompin' Old World Revival is a weekly celebration of roots, folk, and traditional music the whole world over on KAOS Olympia Community Radio! Join me, David, every Sunday between the magical dawn hours of 6-8 a.m. as we revive our spirits with timeless musical traditions as an antidote to the post-modern malaise of the week ahead. Or you can listen to our March shows right here! We play blues, bluegrass, rumba, highlife, conjunto, cajun, rhythm n' blues, gospel, jugband, stringband, celtic, country, jazz and so much more! Lots of special programming this month: The March 3nd show features a wide variety of cajun and New Orleans music during the second hour in celebration of Mardis Gras. March 9th, in honor of International Women's Day, features entirely female musicians. In conjunction with a local film and discussion series on American roots music, the 2nd hour of the March 30th program celebrates blues and gospel.
