Interesting to hear a show from a studio master, albeit somewhat degraded through a vinyl recording. Assuming the master is accurate, they certainly ran it through a lot of compression, chopping off the highs and lows. While it sounds better than noisy nighttime AM radio transmissions, the vinyl adds an annoying rumble and clicks. Since there's clearly nothing on the masters below around 100Hz, that rumble could be removed and along with the pops and clicks. I assume the Brown estate owns the masters since CBS Radio no longer exists. It would be great to get the master tapes and release maybe 100 of the best shows for HD downloads.

I have been a fond admirer of this radio show (and, being in my 8 years old to 18 when it aired, I was happily terrified with my AM radio under the covers), but i have NEVER heard a great number of the shows in this collection with this level of audio quality! it sounds like you are actually in the sound booths when they are recording these shows. I say a very big thanks to whoever this person is, and I certainly hope that this person puts up more of these vinyl copies of the shows. Most thankiful!!
