The House of Grey

14-year-old Monson Grey faces the same challenges that any freshman high school kid would. Difficult classes, weird teachers, food fights…girls. Except Monson Grey is not Monson Grey.
At least, when he looks at himself in the mirror, the scarred face staring back is not someone he recognizes.
Now he finds himself attending an extraordinary school, the recipient of an incredible scholarship, among ridiculously rich classmates, and with no memory of how he got there or what to expect.
As bizarre events start to unfold around him, Monson wonders what secrets lay locked in his hidden past.
Add all this to a mysterious silver stone, an Indiana-Jones-copycat professor, Merlin the wizard, and even Atlantis, and you’ll find yourself in a fantastic tale in which magic does exist and everything is never as it seems.

Just finished listening to the House of Grey, listened to all 42 episodes in the matter of a week and a half due to the story being so captivating, every cliff hanging episode had me striving to start a new episode! I’m an avid listener of podcast stories, this by ...

this book was simply amazing kept me on the edge of my seat kept me coming back for more plus the disjointed revalations kept me asking questions the whole way through though I wasn't aware that this book was a series till towards the end definitely will have me looking for the next installment plus the reader of the story was amazing right on par with Veronica giguer which I think I have spelled wrong but keep it up plus all the different voices for the characters really brought the book to life I really loved Mr gat and Brian those two really intrigued me plus the way magick is performed and described was unreal and unlike anything I have ever heard of it seen before as for the rest I'm simply speechless and cannot find the right words in which to describe all the feelings and images I felt and seen in my minds eye can't wait to start on the next book
I'm giving it 5 Stars cuz the story was pretty well concocted. I do stay 14 and 15 year olds are not the maturity level to conduct everything that you read here. Very Harry Potter reminiscent. I do think the last couple of chapters got a little too long for me. And without listening to them I was still right with the story. looking forward to the next book

Overall, a very good story. The complexity was fun to listen to and put together. I only found 2 issues. The first was where the main character was repetitively indecisive. This causes the listener to be placed in a frustrating position. I felt like turning the story off. The second was the dual voices in the mind of a character was difficult to make out or understand.

I finished this in a week or so, I was really drawn in. I'm glad I tried it after being very disappointed with the rise of the magician. Everything that was bad in the rise of the magician was good in this book: the characters were real and made real ...

Fellas, glad you enjoyed the book. I am working on the sequel, but it has taken a back seat to some of my other projects. The original podcast of the House of Grey has gotten a makeover and I am getting ready to release the first Volume of the redone ...
