Noel Gay (15 July 1898 – 4 March 1954), born Reginald Moxon Armitage, was a successful British composer of popular music during the 1930s and 1940s. He is known for his extensive output, which includes 45 songs, music for 28 films, and 26 London shows. Sheridan Morley noted that he was 'the closest Britain ever came to a local Irving Berlin.'
