Audio kills it

(1 Sterne)

Gave up on this book very quickly because I just couldn’t listen to the audio anymore! The problem is that you are listening to a conversation which has been stitched together from many different audio sources and these sources are of varying quality e.g. one guy sounds like he’s got a bucket on his head! In producing an audiobook in this manner, it sounds really odd as it just does not sound like a flowing conversation. Actually, it sounds like one of those recorded messages where part of the message is injected at the time of the call to make it more personalised. Of course we are grateful to the narrators for putting the effort in and it is not their fault, but just the format doesn’t work in my humble opinion. Onto the next one!

Almost Perfect!

This is how books/plays should be read! Whoever did the mixing (did things like put Warren's whistling behind the narrator) did an excellent job. The story is part Western, mystery, drama, comedy, & love story. My only complaint is the ending. I want every bad guy punished! Also, I guess we are to make assumptions regarding the treasure. Still, this is one of my most enjoyed Librivox recordings.

first one I'd listen to again. The person calling the book racist is a fool as Rusty is probably the second cleverest character. The ending was just open enough for us to imagine Rusty catching Jarvis' meaning with his instructions towards Carlos.

Great Story

(5 Sterne)

The Reading was very good and acted wonderfully! I only wish all Livrovox stories were a dramatic read. So far, all have been good to very good. This is one of the best. I highly recommend this one.

Pretty Good

Most of the readers were very good. I would have to say that the narrator- though her voice was very clear and nice -unfortunately mispronounced several words. But I enjoyed the story very much.

A nice surprise

(4 Sterne)

Actually, a pleasant fast-moving plot well read by participants, who come in on cue and smoothly animate the dramatic suspense. Go for it!

Quick And Cheesy

(3 Sterne)

The readers did great and the audiobook was enjoyable. I just didn't like the story. It felt really short and unsatisfying.

Fun & light hearted!

This is the first none I've "read" by this author, and will not be the last. enjoy!
