I give this audiobook four stars. When I listened to Viking Tales, I had to admit that I thought parts of what I heard which descibes an ancient Nordic point of view about life were very odd to my mind. From what I gather the Norse thought swords could have agendas and desires of their own. Viking Tales is a book that describes why the vikings felt the need to travel and relocate their homes as they did through several smaller stories. I ended up being a bit annoyed by the inept reader who during tracks sixteen and seventeen had trouble pronoucing certain words as he spoke because he either lacked reading talent or chose to read in a impolite, mookish way.

Quaint tales, good for young people. Decent readers.

Lost a star due to the many different readers, but Jennie did a fantastic job of fictional retelling of Viking history, voyage, culture and song. I am no expert when it comes to Norse/Viking culture. However, due to my obsessive nature, I have watched films, read books and have done many a reading of many articles and studies about these peoples. This book was a job well done. The writing was tame and filtered. I recommend it to all.
it’s a very good book and the one who illustrated is really good at it. I am on…
