The Poor Little Rich Girl is a children’s fantasy about a little girl named Gwendolyn who is lonely and longs for a friend. But she is isolated by rich parents who ignore her and left to the care of servants who are indifferent. Her nanny’s carelessness with some medicine plunges Gwendolyn into a bewildering world in which metaphors literally come to life. (Summary by Susan Umpleby) (7 hr 14 min)

A tale of psychological abuse
Phxjennifer
A fascinating story of adult power plays and both casual and deliberate emotional abuse of a child. The dream sequence, induced by fever, exhaustion and a careless drug overdose, is amazing. I only take off half a point for the extreme ( sometimes painful) unevenness of volume in each chapter and from chapter to chapter.
Too much like Alice in Wonderland for me
Good reader... just not my style of story
Amazing
