The further adventures of Curdie, a miner boy, and Princess Irene. A charming story filled with fantastical creatures, beautifully read, and quite entertaining. There are elements which may be distressing to very young listeners, but nothing compared to Grimm or Lang.
This is well read by Hannah Mary and such a great story!

yes, this book was written by a Scottish Preacher during the Victorian age, so of course, we are being told how to live as Christians. That didn't bother me as I anticipated it. Curdie the young minor is asked to travel to the King's palace for a task that he does not know. Included are magical powers, intriguing beasts, evil people, deception and redemption. I enjoyed it. The reader took a bit to get used to. I think her calm and soothing voice works well for this book.
Hannah is Amazing, and so is George!
