The readers all did an excellent job, many are among favorite single readers. This book is by far the best I've read by the author. The main character is a bit dim witted, but it just added to the suspense.
well done and fun

I liked this book, love all by this author. Need more of them. Great mystery and love the English atmosphere.

I just couldn't get into this book. Too many characters maybe? All I know is that I couldn't wait to be done.
Excellent Mystery

This is written as though one of the characters was telling the story, so as I was wondering early on why he didn't tell someone about . . ., but at the same time the author (with the benefit of hindsight) was asking himself the very same thing. Oh well, had he told someone, it wouldn't have been much of a mystery, now would it? The plot kept me quite engaged and in the dark until the last few chapters. I would recommend it to those who enjoy mysteries as an easy and entertaining book to listen to. This was a LibriVox group recording, with many familiar voices. All of the readers did a fine job.
anit her great one by JS. Fletcher

The only reason I didn't give this one 5 stars is the reading. It's not that anybody did a bad job...they all did very well and some great (though I prefer the ones read by a single narrator, I realize that's a huge commitment and I can't have that every time). The problem I had was the sound levels. Some readers used very low volume and since I listen mostly in the car, I have to turn it way up. Then come the commercials at top volume.!
story was good, some of the reading not so

I like JS Fletcher's mysteries, but there were some chapters of this one that I read rather than listened to due to poor readers. I'm sure they try, but some readers are difficult to listen to and I found myself a bit frustrated with it at times.
good!!

How many did they have to kill off??? Oh well it was good anyways. The one man reader is supper hard to understand when you're trying to listen so close and get the names of people. He kinda ran his word together and had a strong English accent.
a great book enjoy it very much it wad was very good suspense story and I do appreciate all the readers for taking the time to read the book so thank you to all may god bless you
