Famous for introducing the character of the vampire Count Dracula, the novel tells the story of Dracula's attempt to move from Transylvania to England so he may find new blood and spread the undead curse, and the battle between Dracula and a small group of men and women led by Professor Abraham Van Helsing.

Although Stoker did not invent the vampire, he defined its modern form, and the novel has spawned numerous theatrical, film and television interpretations. - Summary by wikipedia (15 hr 58 min)

read excellently

Reader is quiet excellent! Love this book and thoroughly enjoyed hearing Sarah read it.

Very good

Excellent story. Great reading. A little odd to hear a female voice narrating mostly men's journals, but I got used to it. Thank you Kara for your time to do this.

Good reader good book but....

The reader was so great but she kept swallowing loudly and incessantly throughout the book. Right into the mic. It sounds like a silly thing to complain about but she was literally in my ear and it drove me nuts. Without that I would have given her 5 stars. The book was great. I've been resistant to reading it, probably because it is so widely known and (poorly) adapted. I'm also not a huge fan of epistolary novels, or novels made up of journal entries that have been stitched together. However, it really works here, and each character brings something interesting to the story.

Loved the story and the reader. So sad to get to the end. I already miss the characters.

Great reading. Good book.

10 stars to Kara S. Flawless reading. Thank you. However the story tends to drag a bit at certain moments. The end was not the final showdown I was hoping for. Still a great story. 3.75 Stars for the book.

Really sinks it's teeth in ya!

I enjoyed listening to this so very much. Very well read by a single reader throughout, which made it extremely easy to listen to. Not too fast, not too slow, the reader kept the story moving along to it's breathtaking conclusion. Like any good book in print, which is something it's difficult for me to read these days due to poor vision, I simply could not "put this down". To Kara, the reader: Thank you so much for sharing with us all this wonderful classic.

Well read

Excellently read and an enjoyable book. The only hindrance I may suggest that this book is written as journal entries, letters and memos in its entirety by different characters, so if the print option is available it may be easier to follow as a casual listen/reader, but the narrator does a great job nonetheless

great reading, classic tale
