Hollywood On The Air is a series of "air trailers": 15-minute promotional programs for upcoming or newly-released films. They consist of excerpts from movie soundtracks strung together with narration. (The AFRS rebroadcasts of Lux were called Hollywood Radio Theater.) Some of the programs here are actually Leo Is On the Air, the MGM series of air trailers.

This Is Lux

"Hollywood Is On The Air" was the name that the Armed Forces Radio Service gave to its rebroadcasts (sans commercials) of the Lux Radio Theatre. For a larger selection of programs, see the Lux Radio Theatre pages of the Archive.
