by
The Bob Becker Show is a radio program associated with outdoorsman and writer Bob Becker. The title points to a broadcast featuring “Van Dyne and His Dog,” offering a glimpse of the program’s interest in outdoor life and the people and animals connected with it.
Becker’s work was closely linked to hunting, fishing, and sporting subjects, giving the show a practical, conversational frame rather than the atmosphere of a fictional radio drama. This broadcast’s title suggests a focus on Van Dyne and his dog, though the specific story or discussion is not identified.
Listeners can expect an old-time radio program rooted in the sporting world, with the appeal of hearing an era’s radio treatment of outdoor interests and companionship between people and dogs.
