The Mario Lanza Show
La Donna E Mobile
by
The Mario Lanza Show features tenor Mario Lanza in a radio program centered on his singing. Its listening experience is built around the voice and performance of Lanza, with the title also naming “La Donna E Mobile,” the familiar aria from Verdi’s opera Rigoletto.
Listeners can expect a musical broadcast rather than a spoken-story drama: the focus is on vocal performance and the presentation of songs. Lanza’s operatic tenor brings a full, expressive sound to the program, making it a fitting choice for listeners drawn to classic vocal music and radio-era entertainment.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
