Since the COVID-19 pandemic, we have started to reflect more on our working lives and increasingly question the relative value of different occupations around the UK. Andrew Maxwell investigates why we have traditionally valued some jobs above others and what a new understanding of “work” might mean for how we approach our changing world. Over the course of four episodes, Andrew looks at the history of jobs, the post-pandemic nationwide appetite for retraining, the status of different jobs and contemplates the future of work.
