Roger and his cousin Anthony are ready to head out on vacation, when a phone call from Scotland Yard sends the duo scuttling down to Hampshire to investigate the possible murder of a Mrs. Vane, who had disappeared on her way to visit a friend. Good Readers - Fascinating Story
Frank Bowden
The story seems very contemporary when compared to other early 20th Century detective novels. It also turns the genre on its head.
