Reviews

just what the doctor ordered

(5 stars)

very witty account of the escapades of three "maiden ladies" led by the fearless Tish. The reader is swept along through mortuaries, zoos, deserted back roads, lakes, unacceptable hotels, propelled by Tish in the new "machine" she can neither start nor stop when she wants to. Highly improbable situations become somehow completely possible even inevitable. Loved this book and the reader is simply perfect.

So Much Fun

(3.5 stars)

This was a collection of three short stories written in the early 1900's. The book was so much fun, and I loved the three elderly spinsters who seemed to create havoc wherever they went. I would have liked to give this four stars, but I felt that the second and third stories were poorly structured. The narrator was absolutely fantastic, although she did muddle up the section headings sometimes. I look forward to more from her and Mary Roberts Rinehart.

Totally Entertaining

I love the Tish books. The narrator does an absolutely wonderful job capturing the charm of these three lovely ladies as she relates their hilarious adventures!

Great story of three mature spinsters who love life and adventure.

(4 stars)

I love to listen to the adventures of these three ladies. The dangers and trouble they find are entertaining as well as interesting. I wish there was the story of how these three ladies became friends that would be a of interest. Miss Tish is the main character in all the stories I think bc she is the one with the love for adventure as well as danger. The other two ladies seem to just follow along and sometimes causing their own problems and adds to the adventure. Great story.

delightful
