Encala

Encala, Book 3 in the Heku Series, finds Emily and Chevalier settled into the palace and life as one of the ruling heads of the Equites begins. The Equites elect Damon onto the Equites Council and he immediately finds himself at odds with Emily. Her independence and head-strong personality harshly conflict with his strict nature as one of the ‘old ones’.
As the Council City Cavalry struggles to keep tabs on Emily, the Encala begin their mission to gain her confidence and then jump to drastic measures to pull her into the Encala Faction.
The V.E.S. emerges, and come to believe that Emily and Allen are being controlled by the vampires. They quickly intertwine themselves closely with the city outside of Council City, the home of the Equites.
Emily and Allen head to New Mexico to attend the wedding of Emily’s cousin, and find themselves in the company of a strange heku. This heku befriends Emily, and comes to her defense when Chevalier finds out, and the Equites Council threatens to turn against her.
Emily’s abilities strengthen, and her immense value as a weapon becomes evident to all three factions and the relationships become more tense and volatile.

Disappointing

I started listening to these books with a good idea that they were close to that other book series with vampires. The stupidity and stubbornness of the girl in that series was bad enough but, the girl in this one beats the cake. I just can't go on with a character who keeps preaching truth between her and her mate and constantly is not herself. Neither main character seems to learn anything out each encounter they struggle through. I just think a person who would be in a relationship with vampire should be smarter or dead. NFL players have died from the amount of head injuries this girl gets.
not happy

not happy that you wait til book 3 is almost over to tell listeners that the other 5 books are not available in audio format. I am a truck driver and listen to them as I drive. I do not have the time to set and read the others. you should be ashamed of yourself to advertise a 8 book series but only have 3 available.
Wonderful Adventure

I loved this book , finally Emily shows her strength and gains her independence. this is worth reading , I could listen to this straight through the authors voice is easy to listen to I am sad this is the last audio in the series since it is hard for me to read books due to limited time. although for this series I will try.
loved these

Once i started listening i couldn't stop till i had finshed, action packed all the way through out and the reader was excellent. Although sometimes you can grow frustrated with Emilys character at times, i found that it clearly outlined her stubborn streak and i highly recommend giving these stories a listen
