Act of Will

Read by M. Darusha Wehm
Andersson Dexter is a new man, still living his old life.
Part vigilante, part private eye, part cop, Dex is muddling his way through his day job as a faceless customer service rep for a giant firm, while solving routine cases in his off hours. But when a gruesomely mutilated corpse is found, things heat up for Dex and the underground organization he calls the Cubicle Men.
Soon, Dex finds himself racing against the clock to find a killer who seems to be determined to strike him close to home.
In a grim future where people live and work in crowded, utilitarian cities, but escape to an online virtual world, Act of Will explores the capacity we have to choose the directions our lives will take, and the consequences of those choices.

Well pleased in Borneo
Lord Jim
Another enthralling detective story set in the near future....replete with detailed real and virtual worlds. Again. ..Darusha delivers on plot...setting....character development....and now one of my favourite narrator voices. Some things should not be rushed. I really appreciate Darusha's spot on articulation, which draws me in and has made the characters so believable. This book is gritty...shocking...yet has some quite tender moments. I love how Dex is so understated and appears to be fumbling his way through life...so endearing...as he is really a highly talented cavalier who picks his own path. Nice one Darusha....

I just love those books. Just found out that the next one "The Beauty of Our Weapons" came out and am hoping that there will be a podiobooks version of it as well. Darusha's reading voice is actually one of my favorites.
