An accessible translation
P.B.
This a good and classic translation of the hesiodic poems (and of The Shield of Heracles, falsely attributed to Hesiod). The recording is well done and the poems themselves are a great way of understanding ancient greek morals and cosmology. One must agree, though, that Theogony's catalogues of gods' names and Works and Day's second half are a bit dull if you're only reading for entertaiment purposes and you're not a scholar.
Beautifully read

The reader is excellent and sounds professionally trained. The recording is faultless as is the diction. The reviewer also uses different pitches effectively to convey different voices; occasionally this is a bit overdone but is generally very helpful.

beautiful classic from ancient greece. good read if you care about the basics of what inspired future authors. reader is easy to follow, and I have no complaints with him. great job!
Sublime and the Ridiculous

Fantastic narration, I can't speak for the quality of the translation itself. The actual work is a weird mix of wonderful poetic imagery, long lists of names, technical instructions and a repetitions where it sounds like Hesiod lost his place and had to stall for time.

A lot of sections were duplicated (read twice) making it very confusing and hard to follow.
